I exhibited at Design Festa Vol. 50!

I exhibited at Design Festa, which was held at Tokyo Big Sight for two days on November 16th (Saturday) and 17th (Sunday), 2019.
This Design Festa was said to be the largest ever, with approximately 5,000 booths scheduled to exhibit each day! Indeed, compared to the Midsummer Design Festa where I exhibited in 2018, the scale of people, shops, and everything felt much larger.

※This year, in addition to original paintings, I increased the number of goods! They sold out by the night of the second day! I was so happy. Thank you to everyone who made a purchase^^
The inspiration behind exhibiting at Design Festa
I've been to Design Festa many times before, and I love the lively atmosphere as a place for expression and the direct contact with artists' activities.
This was my third exhibition, and I felt it was a valuable opportunity to talk about art and hear feedback from people I met for the first time, with my work as a medium. I was happy to have the opportunity to present my work to visitors again this time, transcending analog, digital, genre, and generation.
About the artwork
I mainly draw the ideal world I live in with various animals, especially Shiba dogs, in an analog style. I also love interior design, so I consciously depict spaces where animals can live comfortably and show human-like expressions. Many people who love Shiba dogs, who have children, or who like a relaxed atmosphere come to see my work, and I'm happy to often hear that looking at my paintings makes them feel calm.

※This is "Learning Shiba Dog", which was the most popular this time. It will be housed in the DESIGN FESTA GALLERY in Harajuku! Wow!
Reflections on the exhibition
This was my third exhibition, and I changed the layout and increased the variety of goods, reflecting on my first and second exhibitions. Many people visited my booth after seeing the Design Festa website in advance, and it was a fun time talking a lot about Shiba dogs, my main motif.
Also, a person who purchased an original painting told me that they would display it at their workplace where many children gather. I was happy to imagine children seeing my paintings, becoming fond of Shiba dogs, getting interested in art, and smiling. After the exhibition, I also received invitations from various galleries, which reaffirmed the importance of having a place to present my work.
※The original painting of "Shiba Dog Dormitory" will be displayed at a pediatric clinic. I'm sending it off with the hope that the 23 Shiba dogs will bring smiles to children's faces.
Future Plans
Thanks to Design Festa, I have plans for art exhibitions, merchandise sales at galleries, and illustrations for publications. I'm grateful that with each exhibition, I'm building connections with various organizations, so I hope to continue creating more works and planning solo exhibitions in the future.
I look forward to your continued support.
